Chickens turning into mummies as part of novel project at middle school Posted: 9 months ago by Bornbad
First there was “Ginger,” then “King Tut.” Now “Cluckopatra” can be added to a list of preserved mammals to undergo an unusual mummification process at a local school.
*key quote:“It was fun. I got to put salt in its pooper."*

Sounds like a cool experiment, I never got to do anything that interesting in social studies class.

I did this in 6th grade! It was lots of fun and at the end we had a school-wide burial for the chicken. That chicken is still somewhere out in the playground...

Did you put it inside of a pyramid? I really hope you buried it properly so that it can begin it's journey through the after life.

I don't remember (it's been 9 years) but we were doing a unit on Egypt so I am pretty sure that our burial was historically accurate. Thanks for the concern of the chicken. :D
