Day 2

This is the third day in the Norse epic. People are still able to join if anyone wants to get in on the action. We can still arrange for a ship to bring you in. Just post in here that you'd like to be shipped off to the new world and list your 5 items (be sure to pick something appropriate to the time period).

That having been said, let’s get down to business.




The village seems so empty this morning… Mostly because it is. Your ships are gone, and Jerry explains what happened to anyone who didn’t know. The villagers stole your boats and left in the night, leaving all of you stranded in the village. Oh well, you were sent here to create a new civilization anyway, so perhaps that isn’t such a big deal anyway.

But why would they just sneak off in the night like that? Weren’t they also supposed to populate this new land? What was it that drove them away?

Looking around the village you find the woods to be thick except for along the river that leads inland. It seems like a crude trail has been made, running parallel with the wide waterway.

What do you do?

*gets up and starts drinking some of the mead he has, then starts following the path, drinking all the way*

*Gets some mead and heads off after Jer*

*hears someone coming, and looks back to see Chelsea behind me*

"Hey. What's up?"
*takes another swig of mead and stumbles drunkenly*

"I figured I'd follow and see what you're up to. Beats sitting around doing nothing."

*Yea, well I haven't seen you doing much. I'm glad you decided to join me. You're pretty, Chels."

*puts his hand on Chelsea's shoulder and tries to steady himself*

*giggles*
"Thank you. You're quite handsome yourself."

*takes a swig or two of mead*

The two of them walk along the path, exploring the forest along the river... Jerry's hands seem to be trying to explore a bit more than just the river.

After several minutes of walking the two of you come out into an open area. Trees dot the area and in the distance you see a small lake/large pond. A few trees are knocked down here, cleanly chopped down by axes.



Back at camp... Nothing seems to be going on. Maybe they're still sleeping.

*puts his hand around Chelsea's waist*

Let's see what we can find over there.

*Heads down to small lake/large pond with Jerry while guzzling the rest of the mead*

*piss drunk, w00t!*

"So I saw what happened with Suebesdottir, I want you to know I don't blame you. It was just an accident."

As you move towards the lake you hear something moving in the distant treeline, the snap of a twig and the thud of something heavy hitting the ground.

*chugs the rest of his mead*

"Thanks, Chels. That means a lot to me. I feel terrible about it, but Pock is annoying me, and I want to kill the b*****d."

*hears the noise and turns toward it*

You are unable to see anything in the trees from this distance.

*Drunk beyond all reasoning, I decide to start walking closer towards the trees, to satisfy my curiosity*

"Hey, Jer, follow me"

*gets up (with effort) and follows Chelsea, stumbling behind her*

As you get closer to the tree line you hear a low rumbling, grumbling noise. A few moments later something rises up from the ground, a human... A human you recognize.

MurderousKitty (whose on puppet mode) brushes herself off.

"Sorry," She says, "I wanted to see where you were off to... But then I tripped on a stick and fell. It hurt a little, but I'm okay now; so don't be concerned."

After a moment of silence, Kitteh continues to speak; "You two can go back to making out or whatever it is that you were doing. I'll just check out the lake or something."

*takes Chelsea's hand*
Follow me.

*Takes Chelsea to a more secluded spot*

*blush*
"Maybe it isn't a good idea for us to be alone right now..."

"I don't see why not. We're just spending time together."

*leans in for a kiss*

Jerry grabs Xiate's hand and beckons her to follow, but his foot takes an awkward step and he falls to the ground. As he gets to his hands and knees he notices something odd about the ground here. It's uneven as all hell, for one. And on top of that... What in Odin's name?



It's a deep three toed foot print. Looks like the print of a dragon... The deepest parts of it hold a bit of water.

"What the heck could make something that big?" MurderousKitty says.

A moment later a loud thump is heard in the distance and the ground shakes a bit. Looks like her answer is going to come soon enough.

"Oh crap."

*drunkenly takes out his sword.*
