So here we are. Day 4. Where did we leave off? Where should I begin? Or is the term continue? Where should I continue? Yes, that's probably better, but it doesn't sound as cool. Oh well, it doesn't matter. I'll just start where I feel like starting and you're going to have to deal with it.




Trees

Jerry and Pock wake to a new day up in the trees, in the same dark room where they spent their first few hours among them. What is going on with those two anyway?

Well Jerry? Pock? What is going on?


Rocks

Antt and his thrall are in some sort of cavern. They were taken there last night after being saved from an attack from one of those wingless dragons. They have not yet been able to communicate with their saviors.


Shore

The sun begins to rise and the Viking inhabitants begin to rise as well. What will they do today? Venture aimlessly into the wood? Do something constructive? Who knows, it's entirely up to them and their chaotic impulsive gameplans...

*wakes up and looks around the room for a bit, deciding to take a stroll along the pathways, and ask Iqua about obtaining our weapons, and possibly getting our people up here.*

Still waiting on a decision from the tree folk about going to get our boys and girls.

Asked them about it here but they still seem to be mulling it over.

Still, when the crushed leaves are this... crushed who are we to complain?

After recovering from my encounter with the man eating chickens last night I think that it is time to do some more exploring, but maybe on the shore this time... Its early morning, so i eat some left over lizard thigh and begin to walk north on the shore.

"Anyone else want to come?"

Wakes up with a crazy hangover.. goes to get some water from the river to help myself wake up, then head to the edge of the forest to begin cutting down trees to maybe build a boat or a raft of some sort to see if we can get away from this place.

"Hey MBK, I'll swing along with you"

Grab my axe and remember the bread inside my tunic..

I offer MBK the bread, he looks a bit drawn like he could do with the extra food.

With presents friends should please each other,

you know what, I'm not a fan of drowning.. and I doubt I could build anything out of trees taht would even compare to our longships, so I might as well join you all along the shore.. maybe we'll see another boat that we can flag down and then return the favor.. come on killer heads off along the shore* sticking close to MBK cause he's a badass and i'm scared of the midget dinos still

I take the bread from doggy with thanks.

"It's good to see that another soul shares my curiosity for what sleeps in these hills. The Gods have brought us here so I know that it must be something great."

From the grin on doggy's face I could tell that he was picking up on my sarcasm. I see smarty start to run up the beach to join our party.

"Welcome smarty, are you sure your up for this?"

He nods

Then tighten up your armor and be ready for anyhing. O yea and keep the dog away from me, he looks to much like a stinkin ass lizard...."

Tree Tops

"Sun up," Iqua says in greeting of his guests. "Go back you people today. Me people talk what do you people."

He hands you each a bundle of food and supplies for the journey back. "I take you there," he says.

Seems like whoever is in charge of this clan needs to talk things over. You wonder what they will decide but realize that it doesn't matter. For now, it might be best to return to your people and let them know that you are still alive.

"hey if we get stranded or run into trouble we can always just eat him.. "

grabs hold of spear tucks knife securely into waistband*

"So how big do you think this place is?"

A Trio on the Beach

Smarty, Doggy, and Keeper begin walking along the shore. Marz asks them to wait and volunteers to join them. It's a rocky sand for much of the way. The beach seems to be growing smaller and smaller as the high cliff faces get closer and closer to the tide line. The three of them can see that far in the distance, the beach ends.

But as they are walking along Marz spots something in the distance, somewhere off on the ocean horizon... What is it?

"A ship!" she says in excitement. "A ship is coming."

Smarty's dog barks once, then begins digging into the sand.


Sailing Into Certain Doom

The sailing had been relatively simple, no major storms and relatively calm seas. At last they had reached the new world. This ship had been the last to depart, having missed the others by a few days. Now they will join their brothers and sisters in conquering this new land.

As the ship reached the shore, the vikings got out of the ship and pulled it up onto the beach. Having secured the ship (which was a larger ship than those that had the others had used, this one capable of holding six comfortably) ashore; Budski, Donteatpoop, Moe, Sven, and Fnord looked over the people at the village in search of familiar faces.

"A ship? This could be good or bad, we need to get closer and watch from the wood. What is that dog digging at?"
I get down near the beast and nudge it aside, digging now with my hands.

Thinks to himself.. *If I could only take 5 people with me and leave the rest stranded here who would I take??*

O umm, yea, killer what the hell are you doing what'd u find.. helps dig*

The Beach

The dog growls a little as MBK pushes it aside. It seems pretty angry that it was forced from digging so that a human could get at whatever was down there. What other pleasures did dogs have over humans? And now they were robbing canines of this as well?

He growled some more.

MBK's hand grabbed onto something soft and he pulled it out of the hole. It was a bit of fruit that is surprisingly unbruised and unrotted. Looks like an apricot.

Marz, trying to look over MBK's shoulder says; "Well, what is it?"

"Looks like a piece of fruit, but it isn't rotted. How does that make sense? Unless...."
I pause, realizing that the heat must be getting to my Viking blood. I sniff it, and then take a bite and hand it to Marz.
"We should pick up our pace, we need to see if our visitors are hostile."

Beach Bums

The fruit is hot in the mouth and has a slight alcohol taste to it. It rejuvinates you and you feel refreshed.

"I thought you bit this," Marz says looking at the fruit. It looks as though it was never bit. "What the hell kind of fruit is this, anyway?" She asks. "I've never seen anything like it. It kind of looks like a peach... But there's no fuzz on it."


Back at the Village

Donteatpoop and Moe (who are twins) start passing down barrels of mead while Sven and Fnord bring down hunting supplies; nets, spears, axes, swords, shields, bows, and arrows.

"Ladies," Donteatpoop says; "Let us begin the breeding and populate this land."

"Unless what?? what are you hiding?"

looks at MBK with a weird glare..

When you say Sven, do you mean me? Or some big Viking dude? I assume it is the latter.

I have no idea what I should be doing.

Some big viking dude. You were brought in on Day 3 (your name is Rawr, coincidentally). You were from the original group of vikings and were a skilled hunter who was away from the village for a few days and returned to find out that everyone was gone. Since your intro you've pretty much just stood around and stuff.

"Unless the soil of this land is blessed, and from the looks of this fruit it is. Both of you should take a bite its rejuvenating. Smarty I know that this sounds crazy, but I need you to run back to the camp and bury any part(s) of Xi and Aggie that you can find. Tell everyone what you have seen, including details of the new boat. I believe that we have found the land of immortality..."

I put the fruit in my tunic.

"Doggylives lets keep moving towards the boat, we need to check out our new visitors."
