Maybe the question was his defence. It was a brothel. It would be fairly obvious what she was doing there. Maybe later on he will try and claim he had no idea what a brothel is.

It is like buying acrylic nails at a nail salon, you also need a manicure in order for them to place the acrylic nails on your fingers...

Then what do you consider a restaurant? You come in, are served, you get something (food), but you leave with nothing (the exception being a 'doggy bag', i suppose). But still, besides your tummy being full from food, you're pretty much leaving with nothing to show for it... Just the satisfaction of having eaten. You leave a brothel with a similar 'satisfaction'.
