What may happen in the next hundred years
Another set of 100-years-ago predictions, some of them pretty accurate, like the Google Maps one...

Brought to you in a lovely original paper scan format.

Some were spot on (Coal reserves), whereas others were just laughable. Particularly liked the one about free education up to and including university. Ah, I can only wish.

Agreed, but I would like to know how a high school graduate today compares (or rather is supposed to compare) to a univerity graduate of the time when this was written.

Most of the inaccuracies are due to inaccurate guesses about how fast technology would develop, and becaue they assume a more futuristic society would be more civilised (as with the exercise and walking bits). Considering how small apples were back them, I daresay the strawberry prediction is correct for some of the larger breeds.

This is why it's a bad idea to predict more than about a decade into the future: the development of society is unpredictable. You can't predict new discoveries, you can only predict what will happen if society stays the same for the whole time and progresses at the current rate of development.
