Rainbow Beaches Around The World Posted: 5 months ago by AutumnLotus
Beaches not only come in all shapes, sizes, and textures, they come in a virtual rainbow of colors. Most beach fans know that sand color can range from pale cream to golden to caramel, but few realize that in select places around the world, sands can be red, brown, pink, orange, gold, purple, green, and even black!

I love Siesta Key, it's 20 mins away. The sand is absolutely amazing, it's powder soft too.
They didn't list any beaches from Nicaragua, we have blue sand there from all the volcanic activity.

I've been to Eleuthera (6th photo down) and it was paradise [goes glassy eyed]. The pink sand was so soft and just perfect in every way. I dream to one day have a piece of property right on the strip of beach where my family stayed. It's called Club Med Beach, because there was once a Club Med on it. That's where we stayed. Unfortunately the resort was wiped out by a hurricane.

You can still see the pool on Google Maps.

In Ibiza, some of the beaches are artificial.

Platja d'Estanyol and Platja des Serral are examples of two artificial beaches where the white sand was hauled in from other beaches and dumped there to create tourist attractions.
