I'm surprised the Muslims over there get any work done. Seems every time we turn around there are "hundreds of Muslims" protesting something.

Oh, wait. Every time I turn around there are hundreds of Americans protesting something, too. We humans are all just a generally disagreeable bunch, aren't we?

I read an article the other day about the protests in South America. They said while it may have appeared there were a lot of people... most of the attendees were actually paid and bussed in by Hugo Chavez to make the crowds look bigger.

I wouldn't be surprised if in poorer areas like this that people can be paid to protest... especially if you need to feed your family.

Although in the US... I think a lot of protesters have "other" financial sources, and see protests as an excuse to get out of the basement and score some pot. But maybe my college days have left me overly cynical.

Boy, these countries are so lucky to not have to worry about such foolish things as Freedom of Speech, Freedom of the Press or Separation of Church and State.

"The magazine has been criticized even by some who acknowledge that it is no more pornographic than many local tabloids sold in the country. "

People like to protest. It ticks me off. Since when have protests actually been an effective use of time and resouces?

I live in what must be the protest capital of Canada. Same hippies, same sign, same completely uneducated basis for a protest.
