Death by ignorance...
How come I never heard about this? It is long, but well worth the effort to go through it all. I found myself yelling out loud at them in horror while I was reading it. picked by Moe 1 year ago

I heard a similar story about a group of children in a 3rd world country that were playing in a junkyard and came across some discarded tubes from an x-ray machine that contained a glowing radioactive powder that they called, 'fairie dust' as they broke them opened and flung it around in the air...

There was a star trek episode like this, where Data loses his memory and lands in an 18th century type world. Some of the inhabitants found his equipment box marked "radioactive" (didn't know what it said, they didn't know english) and wore the "pretty black stones" inside.... everybody got sick within a week.
