Following are the key points of three ordinance promulgated by President Musharraf on the eve of lifting emergency:

-- All the Supreme Court and High Court judges who refused to take oath under the Provisional Constitution Order (PCO) will not be reinstated.

-- All judges who did not take oath under the PCO will receive full pension and retirement benefits.

-- Minimum age for High Court judges has been reduced from 45 to 40 years.

-- Islamabad High Court to be established in the federal capital and its judges can be appointed without consultation with any governor, as federal capital has no governor.

-- President or his representative will administer oath to any chief justice appointed to the Islamabad High Court.

-- President Musharraf is not bound by the clause that prevents government servants from running for elections for two years after retirement.

-- Clause requiring doffing of uniform has been dissolved.

-- New amendment validates legitimacy of all judges who took oath under the PCO.
