3-year-old dials 911 after mother faints
When her mom fell unconscious recently, three-year-old Samantha Garcia knew just what to do. She had been taught about calling 911 at her daycare, where she was taught to colour in the numbers on a drawing of a phone.

Samantha knew to pick up her mother's phone and dial for help. The little girl told the 911 operator: "My mother has fallen. I want a doctor." picked by Marli 7 months ago

Awww! Way to go! Kids are soooo smart. They are like sponges. They absorb everything. EVERYTHING. It is good when they absorb something important such as dialing 911 in an emergency.

That's great and what a great day care to teach the kids that. I do find it odd though that the emergency responder hadn't taught his 4 year old to do it.

What three-year-old child says, "My mother has fallen. I want a doctor"? No toddler talks like that. It was probably more along the lines of "My mommy fell. Mommy needs help".

But still, that's awesome that she knew how to do that and I think that's a great way to teach kids that! :)

Then why does everything they touch get gooey? Should we ring them out?
