Kudzu Covered Houses Posted: 4 months ago by doggylives
Few houses are abandoned and allowed to be taken over by vegetation. However, in parts of the south including the city of Atlanta those that are, are susceptible to being engulfed by kudzu. Some make interesting natural sculptures.

So the solution must be to sell these plots of land to Japanese immigrants, don't you think?

It reminds me of a Steven King short story where this green grass looking stuff fell from the sky and grew on everything. Water really made it take off. This farmer got it on himself and it itched so he took a bath and ended up completely covered in it, the story ended with him shooting himself with a shotgun. Steven King sure is morbid. This was eventually made into a movie with this kid reading a bunch of his short stories, or maybe I am mistaken, it's been 15 + years since I've seen it so I may be mixing up more than one movie/story.

I also remember a King story mentioning this particular invasive plant. And the point, of course, was that it was evil.

I'd never heard of kudzu before then.
