China Closing Down All Non-Earthquake-Covering Web Sites and TV Shows Posted: 3 months ago by 2longdogs
The Chinese government has issued orders that all entertainment Web sites and regular television programming be shut down for the next three days. Apparently, only Web sites and television stations covering the country's recent earthquake will be allowed to remain live.

This seems very unlikely. How is that even possible? ALL of China? You'd think if something like that was going down someone would maybe mention..idk..why?!

Well ... what someone is told to do isn't always what is done. Although, in china's case from our perspective, how can we ever REALLY know what goes on there?

Things are censored there alot, the news has to be 'searched' before it goes on the air and 80% of it has to be good and 20% has to be bad. Which makes the 'only earthquake news wierd to me" but maybe it is out of respect
