they should be thankful, not try to sue people.. I hope I have twins.. that way I can just.. whoa jsut had a thought.. *shoots off to forums..

that way I can just call them the same name seeing as how I probably wouldn't be able to tell them apart- or if ones sick have the other stand in for him at a sporting event or something..

FTA: "The court was told the twins' birth mother had lost her capacity to love and the couple's relationship suffered as they became mired in everyday tasks associated with raising two children."

Welcome to parenthood. Raising two kids is a lot of work, but to claim that a person has lost her capacity to love because of it? Give me a farking break. If anything, becoming a parent increases your capacity to love - those with kids will know exactly what I'm talking about.

I can imagine the conversation when these kids get older. "Yes, sweetie. We tried to sue for hundreds of thousands of dollars because we only wanted one of you. And yes, we lost. But it doesn't mean we love you any less... well, maybe just a little."

Good grief. That is ridiculous. It is common for IVF Drs to implant more than one embryo because there is a risk that some wont take. Would they have sued if it turned out that they had identical twins (meaning one egg split into to)? If they didnt want the responsibility of 2 kids, they should have never agreed to having 2 embryos implanted, better yet, they should have never had IVF at all.

Apparently they weren't listening when the informed consent process was going on.
