Randy Pausch takes his last breath
Sadly he succumbed to pancreatic cancer. He gave us all a new perspective on life and death. May he never be forgotten.
*Sorry, not much on the story, this link is to the GMA excerpt from a bio on him. picked by dollyllama 1 month ago

We had to watch his lecture in my Sociology class, because it dealt with death/dying. It never actually occured to me that he would eventually die. I guess I was hoping for a happy ending or something.

He was amazing and will be missed.

We don't beat the Reaper by living longer, we beat the reaper by living life to it's fullest.

Hope I didn't botch it up too bad Professor, rest in peace.

I'm really glad that he wasn't some kind of fraud. His "Last Speech" was really inspirational and I always had this dread in the back of my mind that he may have been faking.

HAIL THE GOER!!!!

quote the opposite for me, in the back of my mind I always had a bit of hope that he would make it through, guess I've always been an optimist. Oh well, he did live way longer than they predicted and I am sure he lived everyday to its fullest.

My wife works in the field of psychology and taped the speech to show to her clients. The one thing that sticks in my mind and what my wife teaches her clients is the comment he made that we can't change the cards we are dealt but we can change the way we play them.
