My son is a gymnast that will be facing the same thing when he starts middle school in two years. Hopefully they'll be more openminded than this school... thanks for the article, this one may come in handy! ;)

Haha, there were a coupla boys on my middle school team!
I remember them doing the dances with the girls, and our constant amusement.
They were all really really good gymnasts though.

Yeah, it's weird to think I may have a son who's a cheerleader, but around here the teams are really competitive and need the boys' strength for tosses. Mostly if they aren't flipping around they are in the back not doing a whole lot. I think I'd die if it were my boy out there shakin' it for all he's worth.
